Is the Business Right For You?
In this blog we will talk about being your own boss and is it right for you? And taking the time to notify any gaps in your business.
The government is very keen to push entrepeneurship these days and for several reasons, the main one being that when new business create jobs for lots of people and also new business create wealth for that nation. These are two vital goals for most governments. Also when these new businesses keep their employees when a recession takes place (like now) then the idea of giving these businesses support becomes a lot more popular as the last thing any country needs is a rise in unemployment.
But most people who start businesses do not simply try to please the government or give their friend a job, their are a lot of other, major benfits from become a self-employed owner of a thriving business. A lot of people like the idea of escaping the 9-5 routine working for someone else, to choose their own hours of shape their own future. However, its not all ups, their are also going to be challenging problems which is why self-employment is not a realistic career for some.
Before even thinking about starting your own business, there are several questions that you need to ask yourself. These being, can i do it? Am i really the business type? How do i find the perfect business for me? If you can answer these questions then you are well on your way to making it in the business world.

What do I want from my Business?
Here is a list of some of the most common reasons why people start businesses, see if you can relate to them:
  • Being able to make decisions for yourself
  • Being able to leave your children a business
  • Giving your family jobs
  • Using your own skills to your advantage
  • Earning money when you want
  • Choosing working hours (flexibility)
  • Taking calculated risks
  • Not having to worry as much
  • Reducing Stress
  • Getting the satisfaction of creating something of your own
  • Being your own boss
  • Working without having to rely on other people
The two themes that seem to connect all of these reasons relate to personal satifaction, which can be viewed as making your job and business the most suited to your lifestyle, along with personal enjoyment of your job. And creating money in the proccess which is vital if your businesss is going to last any period of time.
Regardless if your personality is appropriatewith your goals being realistic, you have to make sure that your abilities/capabilites match the requirements that you're business will demand.
